Moss Landscaping originally established in 1972 and is a family owned business that spans over two generations. Moss Landscaping specializes in developing custom water features, fire pit features, retaining walls, custom pathways, patios, irrigation, and unique landscaping concepts. There are gardeners and there are landscapers. We consider landscaping to be an expression of art. It's beyond just putting plants in your yard. Making every detail around you into something beautiful and unique to call your own oasis is what Moss Landscaping strives to do with each of our clients.

Jacob Moss (Jake), our principle landscape designer, has over 25 years of experience. Jake is currently the featured landscaper on Do It Yourself Network's (DIY) hit television show "Yard Crashers". Jake has been featured on 7 of the first 13 episodes of the HGTV sister network television show.

Whether it is a major backyard renovation or building a backyard cabana in a day, Moss Landscaping is the hands on company that can handle all size jobs. Millions of fans around the country recognize Master Chef Jake Gandolfo as the blue collar construction worker that had the heart and self taught talent to make his dreams of becoming a chef a reality, as he competed on "the worlds most successful cooking show." Jake's energy and passion is contagious, his eclectic flair and engaging personality make him a pleasure to be around and demon in the kitchen...he knows how to bring it!

Having had the opportunity to work with such culinary giants as Gordon Ramsay, Graham Elliot and Cat Cora has inspired Jake to push even harder and farther into his own culinary journey. As the Executive Chef and Chef D'Cuisine of Custom Culinary Concepts, Jake now travels around the country cooking for clients of all calibers, performing cooking demos', making appearances, staging competitive corporate team building events, teaching, hosting charity events and pursuing his one true passion...the love of food.

Ian McCartt, a California native and carpenter for HGTV’s Color Splash, discovered his passion for carpentry while working for a contractor as a teenager. Throughout his college years Ian worked as a wild land firefighter, but in 1999 he returned to his roots by becoming a licensed general contractor. When Ian isn’t in front of the camera, he continues to provide contracting services to the San Francisco Bay area.

Ian also has appeared as a carpenter on several HGTV programs, including Landscape Smart and 100 Sizzling Summer Ideas. In his free time, Ian enjoys the outdoors with his friends and family. He resides in the East Bay community with his wife and son.
